Flexible school year programming to meet your needs

Our core preschool program runs Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM–12:00 PM, generally following the Great Salt Bay school-year calendar. This is when the primary preschool curriculum and classroom programming take place.

Most children stay beyond the morning program through our Extended Day, which gives families the flexibility to create a schedule that works for them, with drop-off as early as 7:00 AM and pick-up as late as 5:00 PM. Afternoons continue to offer plenty of opportunities for play, exploration, rest, outdoor time, and connection with friends.

Children may attend Coastal Kids two to five days per week, with schedules designed to meet the needs of individual children and families.

Coastal Kids’ professional, dedicated, and compassionate staff create a welcoming setting for learning. Their programs are optimized to each child’s strengths, while creating educational plans to ensure each child’s individual needs are met. Our special needs son grew by leaps and bounds during his time here. From one-on-one support when needed, to fun and nurturing classrooms, they offer it all! Even as alumnus, we have been treated like family, including the wonderful staff and students reaching out to help our son celebrate his birthday, when a traditional celebration would have been arduous. We are beyond grateful to everyone at Coastal Kids for their unwavering commitment to our children!

  • Minnows, 2 – 3
  • Starfish, 3 – 4
  • Puffins, 3 – 4
  • Dolphins, 4 – 5

Our oldest preschoolers, the Dolphins, are actively preparing for kindergarten and graduate from Coastal Kids in June.
